Job Description:
Responsible for printing various interior, exterior and specialty signs in a variety of different substrates and ensures that signs are produced to quality standards and according to job ticket and sign shop manager specification and direction.
Desired Skills;
Ability to operate all production finishing equipment, including but not limited to the plotter, stand alone cutter and router
Ability to operate equipment in a safe and productive way
Ability to understand job directions, both verbal and written.
Operate large format solvent & UV cured printing equipment
Familiar with Contour Cut and Illustrator with the ability to imposition files as necessary; knowledge of Onyx Thrive
Knowledge of various substrates used in signage production
Maintains accurate records and reports
Troubleshooting and performing minor repairs
Be a team player with a positive mindset when interacting with peers
Have an attitude that promotes a great work environment for all
Be available for overtime
Ability to meet companys high quality control standards
Continuing education/certification may be required
Performs other duties as assigned
Work
Experience:
0 - 2 years wide format operator experience; apprenticeship program preferred
Work Environment:
Production environment.
Regularly required to lift very heavy objects.
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time
Handling and assembling small parts
