The Responsibilities and Activities:
Design and implement the low-level software/firmware required to control the DSP assisted coherent optical modem and other ASIC and FPGA components.
Development of software algorithms to control the optical components and configure and control our custom DSP engine.
Software development on Linux, bare metal and proprietary OS.
Design tools and interfaces required to support integration, test, verification, and manufacturing.
Interact and collaborate with senior developers from different teams to provide optimum solutions that improve the performance and quality of our products as part of an iterative process.
Participating in all stages of software development - requirements analysis, design and prototyping, implementation, testing, and eventually maintenance support Identifying software performance improvements through test driven development, automated unit testing, and comprehensive integration testing What technical experience and/or professional and personal skills are required for this role? Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
C real-time software development on embedded operating systems.
Understanding of microprocessor, hardware acceleration for signal processing and test equipment in lab environment.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Work easily in collaboration with others in a multi-discipline engineering environment.
