Up to 20% Manager, Customer Applications The Manager, Customer Applications leads a team of Software Engineers who design, develop, and maintain custom developed applications.
This position is responsible for managing the development lifecycle of software products, providing technical leadership to the team, and planning/coordinating the team's work activities to ensure they are successfully achieving business objectives.
The Manager of Customer Application will assess, recommend changes and/or improvements to existing applications to ensure that they meet business objectives and outcomes.
As the manager of customer applications, you will:
Lead the development team in the design, development, and maintenance of applications.
Oversee the development process to ensure applications are coded per software design standards.
Ensure the team is following appropriate testing practices.
Develop plans/strategies to ensure the applications are utilizing current/supported technologies.
Facilitates troubleshooting process when addressing critical production support issues.
Hire and train new developers.
Monitors software development team activities to ensure maximum developer productivity.
Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of development technologies used throughout the company.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
Ideally, 10
years of combined experience in computer or network administration, architecture, operations, production control, systems development, information technology analysis and/or planning.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Demonstrated experience with building custom applications with the.
NET technology stack for web-based user interfaces and Web API services.
Experience with software design principles such as SOLID and DRY and use of refactoring to resolve code smells.
Experience with Agile software development processes.
Ensure the adoption of Application Architecture by the development team.
