Join our team to help build a better, more sustainable world for future generations!As an Advanced Electrical Services (AES) Sales Support Coordinator at Caterpillar, you are ultimately responsible for quoting, negotiating, closing, and executing AES sales, services and orders.
The position is focused on defining project scope, estimating associated costs and creating a proposal that is based on the scope of work to be performed.
When an order is received, a clean order review is required before handoff.
This position works with cross-functional multi-project team resources to ensure expectations are delivered according to defined scope, timeline, and cost parameters.
The sales support coordinator maintains their workload via planning, scheduling, and controlling all project activities toward these objectives by applying technical, theoretical, and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive relationships with customers and peers.
This position requires an estimated 10% travel.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Work with Outside Sales team to ensure customer expectations are being met Interact with AES and Switchgear project management teams for change order negotiations Contract and Change Order Claim negotiation, preparation, and administration Identify cost out opportunities and champion process changes to improve organization performance Achieve AES sales objectives for margins and mix Capture incremental Switchgear and ATS maintenance contracts and Extended Service Coverage (ESC) Quote electrical maintenance services and remedial projects utilizing knowledge and technical resources within organization Train and mentor peers Provide marketing feedback on needed service features, pricing and market positioning against competition Support Cat System Selling Strategy Technical understanding of power generation, switchgear, generator controls, and other electrical equipment Drive AES sales jointly with CAT Dealers from installed base of Switchgear and ATS Identify additional opportunities to pursue remedial work and electrical maintenance services are required Conduct joint Sales Calls with Cat Dealer Product Support Sales Reps (PSSR) and being able to quote to dealers are key to success Quickly forming trust with Dealer Management and PSSRs.
Ability to see solutions in every situation is required.
Basic Requirements:

years of sales support experience Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and situations to achieve superior proactive project order management and customer service Experience in dealing with multiple disciplines such as contractors, consultants, engineering, sales, purchasing, and commissioning agents Demonstrated skills and experience in mediation and negotiation Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Successful candidate must be able to work in a Team environment, possess strong leadership and organizational skills, and demonstrate ability to take ownership of assignment and customer satisfaction Top candidates will also have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Technical Degree Previous experience with creation of Quotes as well as receiving and entering Purchase Orders is highly preferred Knowledge of protective relay's, breakers, and PLC's Working Knowledge of AES Products and services is a plus Thorough understanding of electrical theory and application Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders Creative ability to develop complex modifications as well as evaluate ideas suggested by dealers and customers Willingness to learn Familiar with company policies and procedures with a strong department background Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Maintain a cooperative and credible working relationship with other company personnel including partners Demonstrated consistently good work habits and the ability to effectively prioritize Additional Information:
