In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems.
You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
What You'll DoYou'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients.
Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.
Work directly with other licensed engineers and experienced designers to design refrigeration systems for manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial and commercial facilities.
Refrigeration system design shall include central ammonia systems, Freon systems, chilled glycol/water systems, dehumidification systems, process cooling systems and heat exchangers for various applications.
Design and specification of ammonia and freon based industrial refrigeration and heat transfer systems Work with other licensed engineers/architects and experienced designers to produce a cohesive and coordinated set of construction documents and project specifications.
Review submittals, answer RFI's, as well as observe and report on installations of equipment and systems during construction.
Interface with vendors to accomplish equipment sizing and selection.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the refrigeration team and less-experienced engineers and designers.
Gain trust, confidence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors, clients, code officials and DGFS project team members.
Provide leadership in Process Safety Management Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team What You'll Bring Must have excellent communication skills while collaborating effectively and efficiently with the various teams of engineers and architects on projects all over the country.
Experience managing others.
Experience in the design of mechanical systems such as industrial process HVAC systems is also desired.
Minimum of 10 years' experience with hands on industrial refrigeration mechanical engineering design, demonstrating an ability to complete refrigeration system analysis, sizing, design, as well as production of construction documents, specifications, and reports.
Experience with refrigeration equipment design at a manufacturing company or corporate engineering experience with a large food manufacturing company may be considered.
Experience in the design of facilities for food/beverage, Pharma/life science, distribution, and consumer products manufacturing is required.
Excellent computer skills and prior experience with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced design environment effectively and efficiently.
Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.
