NET Architect Hybrid About the position:
We are currently seeking a.
NET Architect Contractor who is experienced in doing technical assessments.
Client is looking to modernize their application stack.
Must be good with documentation and.
NET middleware.
This is a 6-week engagement, with the potential of extension based on the result of the assessment.
Context Our client is initiating an application and data platform modernization effort and requires an assessment of their current state and strategic recommendations to develop a future state roadmap.
The discovery portion of the engagement will focus on reviewing application and middleware architecture, engineering workflows, tools, and team organization and culture.
The assessment must align with their developing data and cloud strategies to provide principles of modernization.
The primary focus is on enhancing capabilities and solutions, as well as engineering patterns and practices.
The goal is to prepare for heightened business demands while transitioning the IT organization to a modernized operating model, complete with more predictable and robust architectures and processes.
You will be working with a team skilled in Data, DevOps Cloud and overall system architecture.
Scope Review of a selection of 12 custom.
NET applications, including the associated Azure DevOps strategy, as well as a selection of the various 250 off-the-shelf applications/integrations in use by the client.
Selection will include services with similar patterns or business value and exact services/integrations in scope will be identified within the onboarding week.
Review for each service may include but is not limited to:
Testing approach Performance CI/CD Pipeline and Production Deployment Process Incident Handling Change Control Code Quality and Application Maintainability Review of the existing application architecture and development environment which encapsulates the middleware programs, to include but not limited to:
Cloud migration feasibility Monitoring & alerting strategy High level security mechanisms and possible gaps Data architecture as it relates to the middleware processing, storage, and transmission of various data elements Interactions and separation of IT and OT systems including the business work streams these systems support and any gaps in functionality Assess the ongoing enterprise data strategy development and include recommendations on how the future middleware architecture will align with that strategy Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status Recommended Skills Architecture Assessments Data Strategy Dev Ops Middleware Team Working Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
