Job Description:
Responsible for interfacing with operations, quality, manufacturing engineering, and IT during planning and deployment of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to production lines.
Will lead implementations of enhancements and day-to-day technical support for all phases of the deployments.
Participate in all aspects of new releases and integration with existing computer systems and test equipment.
Essential Functions:
Map product structures and processes to create equivalent working operations in the MES Support development of MES deployment schedules and release plans Working with Engineering, Quality, Operations, IT, and suppliers to resolve deployment roadblocks Create Purchase Requisitions in support of MES deployment Track and report status of deployment task progress Act as a liaison between the program and functional operations Support, evaluate and test new versions of MES software and proposed changes Develop and maintain Lean manufacturing processes to support production by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly methods, tooling, material handling and materials to the MES deployment Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects Apply lean manufacturing principles and techniques, such as 5S, standard work, Kaizen, etc.
to drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery performance Interface with design engineering, test engineering, quality, procurement, and management staff as required to drive attainment of program's production objectives (cost, throughput, yields, etc.
) Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Up to 10% travel may be required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent experience Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment Experience supporting product development and transition to production Experience with Agile, Aegis FactoryLogix, and Ariba systems Experience with Business Intelligence software such as MS Power BI and Tableau MS Project experience Working knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100 quality systems and IPC quality standards (class 3) Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation) Experience with MES and MRP/ERP systems Working knowledge of SQL queries and.
NET Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Recommended Skills Aerospace Basic Quality System Standards Agile Methodology Business Intelligence Business Process Improvement Communication Continuous Quality Improvement (Cqi) Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
