The Logistics Coordinator will work directly with our carrier base to ensure delivery of our bulk and package products originating from our regional network of plants, terminals and warehouses.
The position will also be responsible for transferring product to resupply the terminal/plant network.
This could be a developmental role for a Sales/Distribution related career path.
Individual accountabilities Take both customer and replenishment orders.
Monitor terminal and plant inventories.
Responsible for the dispatch of delivered loads (including assignment of carriers, as applicable).
Monitor freight file for carrier selection and invoice purposes.
Input all manual bills of Lading.
(as applicable) Collaborate with Sales team & carriers.
Provides detailed, factual information to carrier inquiries.
Timely response to carrier complaints with appropriate follow up, including escalation as required.
Maintains a high level of quality on all calls and is knowledgeable of services, products and methods of delivery for Argos Cement.
Creates and maintains monthly reports as required.
Support other assignments as required within Customer Value Center.
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
Works towards individual and department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Follow-up, resolve issues and call back carriers within appropriate time frame.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ensure that teamwork and professionalism are integral part of all activities.
Follows the standard operating procedures for department.
Strong support to the Customer Value Reps, who will be the main point of contact for verifying customer's requirements on the dispatched loads.
Education Educational background:
Bachelor's degree.
Area of experience Dispathc, Freight or Traffic Management.
Logistics.
