Responsibilities:
Independently take on quality initiatives and testing assignments.
Effectively deliver in accordance with business objectives and quality standards.
Responsible for overall quality in assigned product areas
Write and maintain test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on specifications and requirements for technically complex software projects.
Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts.
Identify, communicate, and document discrepancies encountered during testing. Enter, review and update software defects in defect tracking database.
Participate in Production Support activities - research/troubleshoot issues identified in production. Replicate issues in QA environment as well as communicate resolutions and workarounds.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Mentor junior associates when needed.
Qualifications:
5
years of software quality assurance experience. Experience in developing test plan and test cases for both manual and automated tests.
Strong Agile software development experience
Demonstrated ability to influence and improve QA process and/or team's effectiveness.
In-depth knowledge of testing large-scale SaaS applications. Familiarity with SDLC, quality standards and test methodologies.
Experience with software defect tracking systems such as Rally.
Ability to adapt to changes in product development as well as flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to meet testing needs.
Must be able to work independently and with minimum supervision. Strong sense of responsibilities and quality focus, fast learner and excellent interpersonal skills
High attention to detail with solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience in developing, executing and debugging with Automation test tools a big plus, such as Selenium, ALM, Cucumber or other latest automated test tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes in a fast paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering related field or equivalent experience.
