The Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development is tasked with identifying and executing on organic and non-organic growth opportunities for the LexisNexis Risk Solutions (RSG) Government unit. LexisNexis Risk Solutions Group (RSG), a portfolio of brands that span multiple industries providing customers with innovative technologies, information-based analytics and decision tools and data services that provide market-specific solutions. Approximately 8,700 employees in offices throughout the world support RSG brands by serving customers in more than 180 countries. The Government business unit provides leading workflow decision solutions to enable federal and stage governmental agencies to better protect the world in which we live, eradicate fraud and improper payments, and expedite distributions for tax and social benefit programs to those in need. The position has responsibility across the full range of strategic planning, market research, opportunity assessment, business development, and M&A functions and will help shape our organization's long-term strategy to support our business objectives. Strategy work product and projects output are highly visible, typically consumed by the CEO, senior leaders, corporate officers and Board members of the company. Accountabilities Develop impactful 3-year growth strategy for the Government unit. Manage annual Strategy Plan process, including definition of key issues, communication of strategy, key initiatives, market and competitive trends, and segment level priorities. Review content produced by business unit for quality, completeness and clarity and provide feedback and guidance as appropriate. Assess adjacent market opportunities and other growth initiatives to support the business' growth aspirations. Conduct internal and external research and assessment to help inform strategy development. Synthesize findings in presentations and papers to provide conclusions and recommendations.Collaborate with business to translate recommendations into clear execution plans. Define capabilities gaps, analyze build/buy/partner options, and lead M&A pipeline development for top capability gaps. Create and maintain a list of potential acquisition targets to achieve business' strategic goals. Develop and lead M&A transactions.Manage due diligence projects comprised of legal, financial, commercial and other functional due diligence work streams Drive development of other strategic partnerships including joint ventures, minority investments and joint go-to-market efforts Support senior leadership in strategic decision-making processes and managing key strategic initiatives. Build effective relationships with key stakeholders based on trust and mutual respect.
Qualifications:

years prior experience in the areas of corporate strategy, investment banking, market research, M&A diligence, product planning, business planning, or corporate mergers & acquisitions. Experience in a top tier consulting or M&A advisory firm is preferred. An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA or equivalent degree from a leading university is preferred. Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to assimilate information, assess situations, learn and move to problem solving mode quickly. Comfortable dealing with complex and unstructured problems, and adept at applying problem solving techniques and frameworks to address them Relevant deal related experience with exposure to M&A deal structuring, financial modeling, due diligence and negotiation practices Strong foundation in financial analysis with experience with financial modeling tools. Strong abilities in company and industry research and analysis
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Investments, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
