Software Engineer II - Fido Business Intelligence (BI) at Relx Group in Alpharetta, GA
Job Summary The Fido BI Software Engineer II position performs moderate to complex difficulty research, design, and Business Intelligence software development assignments for the RSG organization. The role creates and maintains visualizations (dashboards/reports), BI infrastructure, forecasting engines, needed aspects of the dimensional data model, analytics, alerts and automation scripts. The role performs data analysis and provides needed insights and decision support to business users across the RSG organization. Experience and Education o 1-2 years of Software Engineering experience o BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent degreerequired Responsibilities o Develop and maintain cubes, reports and dashboards, data model including certain aspects of data loads and forecast engines. Support needed aspects of BI infrastructure. o Interface with users, other technical personnel and team members to finalize requirements. o Write and review detailed specifications for the development of BI system components of moderate complexity. o Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex BI requirements and translate them into software designs. o Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. o Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. o Resolve technical issues as necessary. o Remains current on business intelligence industry standards. o Complete bug fixes. o Other duties as assigned. Technical Skills o Familiarity with SQL data manipulation. o Hands on reports and dashboard development experiencepreferred. o Exposure to dimensional / star schema data models preferred. o Working know-how Power BI a plus. o Working know-how Python a plus. o Proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) preferred o Understanding of and / or working knowledge of financial data a plus. o Working know-how of analytics (Machine Learning) a plus o Strong team work, strong verbal and written communications skills. o Proactively identifies and recommends opportunities for continuous improvements and efficiencies. o Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to connect the dots and solve medium to high complexity problems. o Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) a plus.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
