We are looking for a Patient Care Technician to join our team.
We are a fast paced, rapidly growing practice, and in need of an individual who is a highly motivated self-starter and team player.
The person in this role will work in our state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center in Alpharetta, providing excellent patient care and supporting the clinical team.
Experience working in pain management, neurosurgery, and/or an outpatient surgery center a plus.
Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history.
Assist in preparing patients for surgeries and procedures.
Assist the Physician during procedures.
Communicate information about procedures to patients.
Call in prescriptions or place orders, as needed.
Assist with sterilizing medical instruments, as needed.
Assist with preparing operating / procedure rooms.
Comply with all SCA and facility policies and procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards and professional guidelines when providing patient care.
Actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
Requirements and skills 1-2 years working experience as a Medical Assistant.
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Certified Medical Assistant Degree.
