Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Need to be able to follow written electronic test procedures.
Computer proficient with MS Office Understanding of maintaining and repairing test equipment Basic understanding of hand tool usage (screwdriver, torque tools) Component level debugging skills Nice to Haves:
2 years post-Secondary/Associate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Experience in military or defense industry background a plus
Job Description:
Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
May act as a mentor to lower-level peers and provide guidance on tasks.
Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
Makes recommendations for solutions.
Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
May work on assignments requiring judgment and initiative.
Uses knowledge and experience to resolve issues.
Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
Work is of larger scope, typically on less structured task-related activities requiring judgement.
