Responsibilities:
- Initiate and maintain communication with insurance companies to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient coverage information.
- Exercise resourcefulness in resolving insurance-related issues and discrepancies to maximize patient benefits.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns regarding insurance matters with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the administrative and clinical teams to streamline processes related to patient accounts and insurance verification.
- Stay informed about changes in insurance policies and billing practices of the office - Maintain detailed records of insurance interactions and update patient accounts accordingly.
Requirements:
- Proficient in navigating computer systems and the willingness to learn them - Exceptional resourcefulness and problem-solving skills to address insurance issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in maintaining patient account records.
- Ability to adapt to evolving insurance policies and industry changes.
Medical office experience preferred
