Director of Construction, Quality Control & Safety

The position will work with the CEO, senior management, and project managers to oversee day-to-day onsite operations for all projects from preconstruction to close out.
This role would be a liaison between field personnel and the CEO.
You will work, in conjunction with the CEO, to ensure that the daily objectives are met on each project to complete it all with quality workmanship, on-time completion, and to be under budget.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
This is in-office position.

Supervise all Project Managers and jobs in production.
This would include:
Weekly manpower reports Bi-Monthly production reports Maintain the company's job / production board Ensure that high quality workmanship is maintained at all times Job tracking to ensure jobs are on budget and scheduled for on time completion Review of jobs after completion to analyze all costs / issues that may have been encountered that resulted in project being over budget / late to avoid same issues arising in the future Provide leadership to Project Managers in a manner that enables them to achieve goals and to provide training to employees in all aspects of construction Communicate with Estimators to keep abreast of new projects for upcoming scheduling Assign new jobs to Project Manager with budgets / due dates / scopes of work.
Assist Project Managers with setting up pre-con meetings, ensuring materials arrive onsite as needed.
Attend any meetings as needed.
Review sub-payroll with job budgets and approve for accounting to process checks.
Review sub contractor's credentialing paperwork, i.
e.
, COI, W9, Contracts.
Keeps a list of all available and approved sub contractors with contact information.
Talk with them in advance of upcoming projects for scheduling.
Visit job sites and have discussions with project managers to ensure jobs are running on schedule / budget.
Ensures that quality and safety is being maintained at all sites.
Resolve production issues that arise with Project Managers.
Handle any insurance claims that may arise due to liability or damage issues.
Review all issues with CEO to provide corrective steps of action.
Review jobs that are called in as warranty to be sure that they are within warranty terms and conditions.
Set up and maintain company safety program.
Ensure that employees receive and participate in continuing education as needed.
Program should meet all OSHA requirements and standards to ensure employee and subcontractor promote a safe working environment.
Ensure that annual reporting of OSHA logs is completed.
Maintain and update company safety manual.
Ensure compliance with local and state municipalities for building codes as needed for permitting and state licensing boards.
Works internally with management and CEO to develop and maintain relationships with the following groups:
customers to help grow the account, and vendors for leverage on account terms and buying needs.
Maintain company's vehicle inventory / service issues.
Maintain company's office building for needed maintenance and repairs.
