PBX Engineer (Asterisk/OpenSource) PeopleSourcer does not use third parties. All candidates must be local GA candidates to be considered for this position. This role is responsible for design, configuration, and ongoing management of clients telecommunication infrastructure across multiple locations in the US and Europe. It supports the day-to-day operations of the Call Center, IVRs, and Corporate Office phones which includes administration and troubleshooting of various telephony equipment, vendor activities, circuit provisioning, and working with other IT team members to develop design strategies and implementation plans for new initiatives and/or to resolve problems. Please note:- Candidates must have open source phone systems experience to include: open source PBXs that run on Linux are Asterisk, Digium to some extent, FreePBX, FreeSwitch, Elastix, Trixbox, eON, and Starfish (etc). This company has built a PBX running on Asterisk. Candidates will have recent experience programming/developing/administering open source PBXs.
Essential Functions:- Designs, implements, and supports the telephony infrastructure.- Assists in the planning, design, implementation and management of projects that may include new locations or deploying new technologies across the network.- Performs routine system administration and maintenance on local or remote locations with no impact to the business.- Proactively analyses, troubleshoots, and resolves telecommunications systems and circuit issues in a timely manner.- Resolves open help desk
tickets
and verifies all issues were properly resolved and documented.- Works with other IT team members to develop design strategies and implementation plans for new initiatives and/or to resolve problems.- Interacts with end-users and all levels of management in developing solutions to problems or creating efficiencies pertaining to Telecom processes that impact business.- Keeps documentation up to date for all telecommunications systems such as call center routing, trunking, and voice announcement scripts. Experience:- Candidates must have open source phone systems experience to include: open source PBXs that run on Linux are Asterisk, Digium to some extent, FreePBX, FreeSwitch, Elastix, Trixbox, eON, and Starfish (etc.). This company has built a PBX running on Asterisk. Candidates will have recent experience programming/developing/administering open source PBXs. - Years Linux 5 years. Years Avaya 2 years.- Advanced knowledge of Linux administration.- Advanced open source Linux based voice platforms.- Advanced Scripting.- Advanced knowledge of VoIP (H.323 and SIP).- Advanced knowledge of Session Border Controllers.- Working knowledge of CTI applications.- Working knowledge of data networking.- Working knowledge of VXML-based IVR systems.- Working knowledge Data driven web development experience.- Working knowledge of Avaya products. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
