to be Performed:
The storage environment currently includes Hitachi, IBM, NetApp, Netbackup and ProtecTIER technologies. The backup environment consists of Netbackup and ProtecTIER.

Solutions Vendor will provide the following required services and Deliverables to Equifax on a time and materials basis:
o Serve as Subject Matter Expert on storage and backup technology implementation, daily support and monitoring of very large storage, backup and SAN environments.
o Work with engineering, project management, systems and database administrators to implement storage and backup architectures that utilize industry best practices in complex virtualized environments.
o Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage/fabric performance and adjust storage
configurations for optimal performance and availability.
o Monitor, analyze, predict trends for ProtecTIER and Netbackup performance and adjust VTL and backup configurations for optimal performance and availability.
o Assist with Capacity planning, storage and backup demand management.
o Follow change control protocols to implement off-hour modifications to storage, backup
appliances and software, coordinating with offshore teams.
o Participate in incident management through a 24x7 production support on call rotation
o Automate storage, backup administration, monitoring, data gathering and reporting tasks using PERL, Shell and other scripting languages.
o Perform monitoring of overall storage and backup environment utilizing SRM tools like SAN Screen, fabric performance tools like Virtual Instruments and other storage array specific tools.
o Escalate hardware and software issues to vendors as necessary to resolve issues in a timely manner.
o Ensure documentation of end to end storage and backup environment is current
Communicate with peers and mgmt. about storage/backup operational issues
