Brooksource is looking for a Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer (MS BI Stack) to work with one of our clients in the manufacturing industry. This is a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity located in Alpharetta, GA. As a Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer, you will have a great opportunity to join a growing BI team with possible advancement opportunity in a highly visible role to the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for designing and implementing business intelligence (BI) solutions to enable the analysis of data to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements.
Perform needs analysis and architect integrated end-to-end solutions, design, configuration and implementation of data warehouses, business intelligence applications, and underlying relational databases.
Develop data warehouse and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and underlying technologies.
TEAM STRUCTURE
Reports to the Director of Global Web Applications, BI, and Reporting Systems.
Work on a team with one other BI Developer, a Business Analyst, a Programmer/Analyst, and a DBA.
REQUIREMENTS
Extensive development, architecture, and configuration skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 specifically:

years with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
3
years with SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS)
5
years with MDX query language in a data warehousing environment.
5
years in gathering technical requirements and preparing specifications.
Experience working on team centric data-warehousing environment.
Strong experience building ETL processes to convert operational transactional data into dimensions and fact tables.
Proven experience in developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using SSAS.
High level of computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing and database software and business systems (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, VISIO and other graphic software).
Bachelor's degree from four year college, preferably in Information Systems or related business field.
Knowledge of MS SharePoint tools to develop and architect dashboards and reporting.
Programming experience with SQL queries and stored procedures would be preferred, as would you being able to provide examples of previous tabular cube creation.

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Some travel required for conferences and global implementation support (no more than 5-10%)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
