Growing and modern company in Lawrenceville has an immediate need for a Software Tester on a direct hire basis. In this role, you will test software for both new dev and modifications along with being a key player in helping the QA team produce a quality product, provide specialized manual testing, and support. You will work in a robust, fast-paced environment to ensure optimal performance, functionality, compliance, security, and reliability as it pertains to testing. This position will test on both the front and back-end of the company's web-based product. This is a critical role, as this team will ensure risk is minimized and that the production site and system are continually protected through identification and execution of testing.

Responsibilities:
Create test plans and test cases using Test Rails and other testing tools.
Manually test key product to establish that all business requirements have been implemented completely and correctly and are traceable to system requirements.
Ensure all corresponding business rules for projects are satisfied.
Create data based on business rules, user interface standards, and technical specs.
Identify, analyze, and report defects with full evidence, including functionality errors, inconsistencies in software program functions, file outputs, user interface forms, content, and system usability issues.
Log, track and verify resolution of software and specification defects using JIRA.
Triage bugs, issues, defects and failures.
Work well cross functionality across different business verticals.
Requirements:

years experience writing manual Test cases; functional integrations or system testing web-based applications.
Can work well within SQL language (MUST be able to do Joins and understand a SELECT statement).
Use SQL commands to analyze data in relational databases, prepare data for testing, and validate data integrity.
Can communicate with all staff levels in different departments. Must have good people skills.
Experience in testing from test plans, test cases, requirements and/or rules.
Experience setting up data, tools, databases, and applications in a test environment.
Knowledge of industry best practices and methods.
Pluses:
Java environment experience.
Bachelor's Degree.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
