Current Need
The Compensation Consultant role is a client facing position responsible for managing compensation programs in support of multiple business units within the MTS Division. Incumbent serves as lead compensation point of contact to the HR Business Partners, leadership team, recruiters and line managers on compensation topics. The Consultant plans and executes reward strategy and manages and measures program effectiveness for the Corporate Functions, including internationally assigned groups. This senior level individual contributor works in a team environment as a key member of the Compensation Center of Expertise. The Consultant partners with a Compensation Analyst and leverages the Compensation COE to support their client group within the US and internationally.
Position Description
Guide Business Unit HR leaders and managers on using compensation guidelines, policies and practices to optimize how compensation tools can support the talent objectives of their business.
Will participate in or lead projects on topics such as sales and short- term incentive plan design, long-term incentives plan administration, M&A; and divestiture that impacts assigned business units and/or the entire division or Company.
Drive the planning, project management, design, development and implementation of compensation programs within the assigned business units. Ensures the BU strategic and operational initiatives are aligned with the Company's Compensation philosophy and strategy.
Drive the planning and project management of the annual and mid-year compensation review process. Provide guidance to the HRBPs and line managers as needed to ensure the accurate, timely and seamless execution of these initiatives.
Provide recommendations and input regarding McKesson's enterprise wide compensation plans such as the base pay, bonus and equity plans.
Train HR leaders and managers on existing pay programs and the use of related software tools.
Work closely with the International Comp & Benefits teams, developing , communicating , and implementing pay programs for BU teams assigned globally.
Serving as the Consultant to assigned BU and as SME on Division level project, he/she is expected to develop a deep understanding of the business unit including the business model and strategy, talent objectives and compensation practices for the jobs in the business.
Proactively stays abreast of Industry and geographic market trends that may have an impact on the Company's ability to attract and retain talent; partnering with HRBP's, the Consultant conducts market research, monitors compensation
Minimum Requirements

years compensation experience including 2
years managerial experience
Critical Skills
5
years' experience and competence in all aspects of analysis and management of broad-based employee compensation programs at a company with minimum of 5000 employees.
International Compensation experience required.
Strong Influencing skills
Ability to build credibility quickly
Strong business acumen required
Strong intellectual capacity
Experience leading and managing projects
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Advanced Formulas)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of compensation practices for executives such as equity compensation is preferred.
Experience in working in the healthcare industry and/or technology related business a plus
Experience in a complex organization a plus.
Ability to demonstrate a business diagnostic exercise by providing the appropriate compensation solution.
Experience managing compensation in Canada a plus.
