Job Description
This role is instrumental in support of the Controller to ensure an adequate internal controls environment throughout the operations. Accounting Manager is responsible for managing Cash conversion cycle for the organization and includes effective deployment of a comprehensive account reconciliation and balance sheet review process. This position also has direct leadership responsibility for ensuring financial accounting activities at the location are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton corporate policies and practice. This role is instrumental in leading the development of and analysis of forecasts and actual performance and operational metrics.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
o Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities; safeguarding of assets in adherence with corporate policies and procedures. Ensure compliance of statutory requirements as applicable to the organization.
o Provide leadership for Balance Sheet review process. Ensure comprehensive account reconciliations are performed on a monthly basis. Conduct formal quarterly balance sheet reviews to ensure account accuracy. Provide training to all plant finance personnel to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the balance sheet reconciliation process.
o Coordinate and implement improvements to monthly closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Administer and manage daily finance operations as applicable.
o Assist in development of finance department goals and objectives. Implement procedures necessary to direct department activities toward achievement of goals and objectives.
o Manage cash conversion cycle for the operations and includes managing payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and T&E functions.
o Recruit, train, and develop finance personnel to provide for individual career development and growth opportunities for subordinates to encourage individual progress and ensure efficient workforce.
o Responsible for the implementation and deployment of actions to ensure an adequate environment of internal control. Provide compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and all applicable statutory requirements as they apply to their areas of responsibility.
o Advise, counsel, mentor, evaluate, and motivate direct reports as necessary. Assist in the training of new finance employees.
o Assist in development of the annual profit plan information and presentation material.
o Provide business partnership to all areas of operation with regard to functional expertise and cross-functional support, providing guidance and education as needed to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives.
o Monitor, review, and investigate cross-functional administrative performance measures to ensure goals are met.
o Review, analyze, and evaluate department budget system. Develop and implement reports for management use in evaluating results against performance targets.
o Lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals.
Essential Skills/Abilities
o Solid knowledge of accounting and finance principles and ability to consistently apply knowledge
o Experience Required in job order costing
o System oriented person with an ability to quickly learn procedures and working instructions
o Self-starter with initiative and creativity to solve problems and deal with users across all regions
o Process-oriented mindset with above average analytical and organizational skills
o Knowledge of analytical reporting and analysis
o Knowledge of other financial systems, such as Oracle GL, Khalix, Abra
o Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited Institution
o Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience
o Previous supervisory experience
o Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
o No relocation is being offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius will be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o MBA/CPA/CMA
o Degree focus in Accounting or Finance preferred
o Previous manufacturing or construction costing experience preferred
o Working knowledge of Oracle and advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs
o Previous Big 4 audit experience preferred
o Strong background in both general accounting and financial planning and analysis preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
