Responsibilities:
Hands on experience in providing the support for the Middleware Component & along with good knowledge in scripting languages Adhere to standards, processes, procedure and audit compliance controls Ability to effectively estimate and escalate issues in a timely manner Flexible to work in rotation shifts Hands on working experience with:
WebSphere Application Server V7, V8 & V8.
5 & Liberty profile.
Tomcat servers Application deep-dive monitoring tools, in particular CA APM Linux and Windows OS Automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, BladeLogic, Puppet Unix shell scripting, python, power shell and Jython Able to install, configure and troubleshoot Java application servers and applications.
Troubleshooting of systems and applications beyond the basics.
Experience with WebSphere Portal & iBPM, MQ, Redis, Oracle Coherence, COGNOS & other BI products will be added advantage.
Able to partner closely with the application development/Deployment teams during release & production issues.
Able to work closely with Architecture & Design Team during new product introduction and setups.
Knowledge of Docker, and setup of containerized applications.
Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks.
Understanding of the Agile methodology Knowledge and experience with application integration Experience with Network and Application tier technologies Experience with virtualization environments and tools Experience with web services & consumption Experience with SDLC automation, best practices & tools Experience developing integrated/automated unit tests as part of SDLC Experience programming tools/applications, technology solutions based on requirements Experience with web application development Security best practices Good written and oral communication.
Explain complex design items through documents and whiteboard sessions.
Should have the ability to multi-task while working under pressure and is expected to be flexible to provide after hours support on need basis to work in regular rotational shifts.
This role requires frequently interfacing with functional and project teams and ensures clients experience first class service when engaged.
