.54.0 Remote OverviewDISH is excited to announce the new 54.0 remote, launching on 10/03/17! This remote was developed based on customer feedback - combining the simplified structure of the 52.0 remote with the exciting Voice Control feature of the 50.0. The 54.0 will become the new standard remote for Hopper customers.Additional upgrades to the 54.0 remote include:Single power buttonControls both the TV and the receiver, New standby screen when powering on. Backlit Accelerometer detects motion and illuminates all remote buttons. Ambient light sensor deactivates illumination in ample light environments to save battery. Programmable Buttons Press for first time - prompts to set button to desired function. Press and hold to change shortcut or customize in Remote Settings menu.What You Need to KnowThe 54.0 remote will be included for new Hopper customers. This remote includes features such as Voice Control and two programmable button options! Similar in design to the 52.0, this intuitive remote is great for all types of customers. It is important to note that the pairing steps are the same as the 50.0 and 52.0.There will be a period of time where both 52.0 and 54.0 remotes will be in office inventory. Providers will also have the option of ordering 54.0 remotes for individual sale. If a customer's remote needs to be replaced, they should be replaced with the same model of remote until the 52.0 inventory is consumed. After that time, then 54.0s will be used to replace 52.0 models.Customers will also have the option to purchase the 54.0 remote if they are not eligible for a pack-out version (i.e. they would like the 54.0 in replace of their current 50.0).
