One of the finest examples of an amazing luxury roadster built by Mercedes Benz that is sure to continue to rise in value and collectibility.
This ultra low mileage example is in absolutely amazing condition and was extremely well maintained and recently serviced.
It was a spring and summer driver for mopst of its life and was purchased about a year ago by a gentleman here in the Atlanta, GA area who enjoys collecitng classic cars.
He has enjoyed the car but is down-sizing his collection so he asked us to sell this car and several others for him.
This 560SL sold for more than $67,000 when new 32 years ago and we have the original window sticker, owners manual, and warranty plate.
You would be hard pressed to fine a nicer one and this one has received quite a bit of recnet service work and is absolutely turn key and ready to be enjoyed.

As you would expect with a luxury sports car of this caliber, this 560 SL was always garage keptt and pampered.
Paint and body are in near flalwess condition and the Signal Flare Red is the perfect color to show off the classic lines of this investment quality collectible.
Recently detailed, the paint has amazing reflection and the body shows no evidence of any accidents as backed up by the Carfax report.
Paint is believed to be original and other than a couple of extremely tiny rock chips it looks close to showroom new.
Bumpers look great, chrome and trim all looks great.
Glass and weather stripping all look fantastic.
Original Wheels are in beautful conditiin with no curb rash.
These cars should be enjoyed with the top down as often as possible but of course we do have the original matching Red hard top with a stand for storage.
The convertible top was recently replaced simply because it was stored in the down position for so many years that the plastic rear window delveloped a crack.
It was replaced with the correct high end German Hartz Canvas top at a cost of $1750.

Complimenting the Signal Red Exterior is a beautiful Palomino leather interior.

The leather is in outstanding condition and is a true testament to the quality that Mercedes was known for.
The drivers seat which typically shows wear on these cars barely shows any wear whatsoever.
Passengers seat looks close to new as do the door panels.
The dash is in beautiful condition with no cracks.
The woodgrain in the center console looks fantastic.
All of the gauges and lights appear to be working correctly.
The current owner had the original Beck Stereo refurbished along with new dash speakers and a new antenna so it is working perfectly.
Matching Palomino Carpeting looks great and Mercedes floor mats finish out the interior.
The air conditioning blows ice cold and was recently serviced.
Power windows work great.
Other than some normal fading from age, the interior is truly in immacualte condition.
The bullet proof power train under the hood of this '88 560 SL has just 33,425 original miles on it ,which for those of you who know about this 5.
6L V8, means it has basically just been broken in.

Aside from just having low mileage this 560 was also meticulously serviced by a Mercedes Specialist.
The 30K mile service was perfromed and all drive belts were replaced as well as a new alternator.
Tranmission fluid was flushed and changed, oil changed, new fuel filter etc.
Front suspension was also completely checked out, lubricated, and found to be in top shape.
This roadster glides along the highway and handles the windy roads with ease and in silence.
Brakes were inspected as well as tires and everyhting was great.
You should not need to do anything other then turn the key and enjoy!! Michelin tires have lots of tread and provide a quiet and smooth ride.
Inside the trunk looks great and you will find the original Mercedes tool kit and jack.
Orginal Spare wheel and tire look brand new.
iUndercarriage is rock solid and original and obviously never saw salt or rough weather.
Extensive original Documentation included shows this car was originally purchased in March of 1988 by a woman in New Jersey from a Mercedes Dealership in Southampton, New York.
It appears she owned the car up until 2006 whne it was then sold to a gentleman in Massachusetts when it had about 21,000 miles on it.
It then appears to have possibly been exported to Germany until 2018 when it came back in to the US to Georgia.
with approxiamtely 32,000 miles.
The current owner has only put about 500 miles on the car during his year of ownership.
I also have all of the original manuals and the original factory documentation which certainly will help round out the investment value of this soon to be Classic.
We also have both sets of original factory keys.
This 560 SL is a pure pleasure to drive and when you are comparing this one to the others keep in mind the originality and documented maintenance history this one has.
